Harbhajan Singh was born 3 July 1980 in Jalandhar, Punjab, India, is an Indian cricketer. Harbhajan made his Test and One Day International (ODI) debuts in early 1998. A specialist bowler, he has the second-highest number of Test wickets by an off spinner behind Sri Lanka's Muttiah Muralitharan.

Harbhajan was trained as a batsman by his first coach Charanjit Singh Bullar, but converted to spin bowling after his coach's untimely death saw him turn to the tutelage of Davinder Arora. Arora credits Harbhajan's success to a work ethic that included a three hour training session in the morning, followed by an afternoon session lasting from 3 pm until after sunset.

MS Dhoni's first big announcement to return to the captain that India was not considering any major changes and that the intention was to finish Sri Lanka 4-1. Since the captain Dhoni took India have played four dead rubbers and lost all four, and he declared his intention of ending the match with a victory.
Dhoni missed the last two one day internationals, including India won the series to take an unassailable lead, following a two-match ban over slow over rates. The team was without his leadership and the weight of ODI runs, but Sri Lanka averted deserving.
"I think everything went perfectly," was Dhoni's assessment of Cuttack and Kolkata. "We have wickets when we needed them and when we had partnerships needed. We have dropped a few catches but fielding looked even better than the first two games, intensity was there and I think Overall everything went fine. "
His stand-in, Virender Sehwag, came to valuation. "I'm not going to notice him, that's your job. But he has a great job, won both games and we are now playing the last game without any pressure," Dhoni said.
'All the matches in the series were high scoring. More often that not, both the teams had got good starts through Tillakaratane Dilshan and Virender Sehwag. They are more or less similar in style. But even when Sehwag got out early, the strong Indian middle order has managed to put up a good total which has not been the case with Sri Lanka,' Dhoni said.
